Get onto SW Highway whichever way you can. 1) Kwinana Freeway (get off at Mundijong exit (is easiest) and head over to SW Highway) 2) Tonkin Highway using the new Thomas Rd which bypasses Kelmscott/Armadale and brings you out at the southern end of Byford.
Go along SW Highway passing through Pinjarra, Waroona, Harvey, Wokalup, Brunswick Junction. Keep going past the Collie turnoff just after Roelands and, after about 4kms (approx) you will come to a town called Burekup on the (L).
Just after this take the 2nd turn to the left (which is just after Henty Rd turnoff) called Dowdells Line (about 3kms). (NB: If you miss Dowdells Line – don't panic – take the next road to the left – Waterloo Rd (there is a Gull Garage opposite the turn off – and go to the end and you will see signs to Peppermint Lane Lodge and follow these). Go along Dowdells Line for quite a way and you will come to a severe right and left dog leg (over a gully but you are on the same road) which you cross and carry on after the dog leg along to the end (quite a way still) and turn left towards Wellington Mill, Lowden and Gnomesville which is Ferguson Valley Road.
An alternative more scenic but slightly longer route is to take Henty Road which is the first road out of Burekup to the left. This road is mostly bitumen but changes to gravel about three quarters of the way along it but this is currently been worked on so almost finished. Go to the end of Henty Road which is a T junction. Turn right into Pile Road and meander down this lovely scenic road taking in the amazing and unexpected views of Bunbury and surrounds. You will come to another T junction where you will turn left into Ferguson Valley Road.
Go along here about 11km passing St Aidans Church, and Ferguson Hall on the right, Richards Rd on the left, carry on past Ironstone Rd on the right, Hackersley Winery/Café and from here, about 1.5km further down the road you will come to Wellington Mill Rd where you turn left, pass Ferg Valley Disc Golf, over a bridge and drive a scenic route to find us 3.7km down this road on the left.
